Historic Jamestowne Sterling Silver Charms
These sterling silver charms are miniature representations of artifacts and icons relevant to Historic Jamestowne. Six charms are available: Zuniga's James Fort map, the eagle from the Strachey family crest, a Border ware jug, an ear picker, a toy horse, and a flagon.
The map charm bears a depiction of James Fort drawn by the Spanish Spy Don Pedro Zuñiga in 1608. The eagle depicted on the second charm is part of the Strachey family crest. This eagle was found on a ring excavated at Historic Jamestowne that probably belonged to colonist William Strachey. The third charm is a miniature of an early-seventeenth century Border ware jug found by archaeologists. The ear picker charm represents one of the most visually-interesting artifacts found at Historic Jamestowne. Made of silver and probably belonging to someone of substantial wealth, one end was used to clean ears, the other to clean teeth. Another charm is a reproduction of a toy horse found inside James Fort. The last charm is a minature of a pewter flagon discovered inside a well at Historic Jamestowne. - Dimensions: Width: 0.5", Height: 0.8", Weight: 1 ounce.
