Meet the Revolving Fund Program Staff

Sarah Cooleen joined the APVA Revolving Fund staff in April, 2006 and became Revolving Fund Manager following Gordon Lohr's retirement in July, 2006.

Cooleen worked for Historic Richmond Foundation from 1999 to 2006 where she held the following positions: Project Manager, Director of Development and Special Projects and Managing Director.

During her work at HRF, Cooleen raised money for the multi-phased restoration of the National Historic Landmark, Monumental Church, 1814, through federal, state and local grant funding and donations from private individuals Cooleen oversaw restoration Phases I and II at Monumental Church as well as served as Project Manager for the Monument Replication Project; an international effort of scientists, preservationists, historians and architects to recreate the damaged marble memorial at Monumental Church. Cooleen served as executive producer, on behalf of HRF, for a one-hour documentary aired created on the Monument Replication Project.

At HRF, Cooleen also wrote, designed and photographed the images for a forty-page full color guidebook called: A Guide to the Historic Richmond: "A Sampler of Historic Buildings, districts and sites in Central Richmond, VA."
