Timberneck Hall, c. 1800, is offered for sale. The house, smokehouse and ±14.8 acre parcel are offered at $2,975,000. The lot is bounded on the east by navigable Timberneck Creek with a water depth of 8 feet at mean low water.

Timberneck is a two-story, double-pile house with two front doors. The west side of this frame house is the original part built around 1800 while the east front door is the entrance to a mid-nineteenth century addition. There is a graveyard behind the house with burials from both the Thruston and Catlett families (primarily the Catletts). Until recently, two brothers lived in the house and little work was done while they were there. As a result, much survives from both building periods. The small size of the 1850s addition lends to the probability that it was created as a side apartment for relatives to live.

The property is offered by Timberneck LLC through its agent, Sandra Hargett, Coldwell Banker/Chesapeake Bay Properties. Interested purchasers or their agents may contact Ms. Hargett or Ben A. Williams III, President, Timberneck LLC. For more information: http://www.timberneckhall.com/
