Sandys Pits

Storage Pit 1, a 3.5' deep flat-bottomed pit that was a 9' by 12' ellipse in plan, was located in between the storehouse and the well. It lacked silt layers and contained crossmends from top to bottom that indicated a rapid fill sequence.
