Reverend Buck Phase 4
44JC568

Jamestown 2007
Phase 4

Phase 4 (ca. 1645-50) was made up of Shed 2 and Burial 9. These two features were stratigraphically and spatially distinct from every other sealed context at the site. Shed 2 cut both the original and repair hole to Well 2's boom, placing it after the destruction of the well apparatus. Burial 9 had different fill from the other burials, a distinct orientation, and was far south of the other eight graves. Elizabeth Crump acquired the property during this time and held it until her death in 1654.
