The John Marshall House Participates in Court End ChristmasThursday, December 6 2007 APVA Preservation Virginia announces that the John Marshall House museum will participate once again in Richmond's annual Court End Christmas event. This event celebrates one of Richmond's oldest neighborhoods and represents a consortium between The Valentine Richmond History Center, The Museum of the Confederacy, The John Marshall House, the Virginia State Capitol (closed for renovations), and St. John's Church.
The John Marshall House | Sunday December 9th from 12-5pm, all of the participating organizations will offer free admission, historic house tours and special activities, including seasonal music, children's activities, horse-drawn carriage rides, costumed period interpreters, and more.
As Part of the Court End Christmas celebration, The John Marshall House will host the Mills E. Godwin High School twenty-one member Madrigal Singers, directed by Choral Director Ms. Sherri A. Matthews, at 3:45 p.m., Sunday, December 9th, at the historic John Marshall House, downtown Richmond, 818 East Marshall Street. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy some hot cider, tour the home and winter garden and visit the beautiful Museum Shop.
