This small room was added to the back of the John Marshall House in the early nineteenth century. It was originally used by Mrs. Mastyr, a white woman who took care of Mrs. Marshall when her health failed.
Today the room is used as an orientation room. Here visitors to the house can view a short video and see a small exhibit showcasing some of the most important pieces in the collection including John Marshall's Supreme Court judicial robes and the locket that he gave to his wife on their engagement.
