What Registration Includes
The Preservation Conference registration fee includes registration for all sessions; walking tour of Winchester on Sunday, Sunday night reception, continental breakfasts, Annual Preservation Awards lunch on Monday, Monday night reception (cash bar), conference materials, and access the conference bookstore.
Location of the Conference and Events
The conference headquarters hotel is the George Washington Hotel located in downtown Winchester. Other events will be held near the hotel most within walking distance.

Registration Information
One day conference rates are not available. Preservation Virginia members get 10% membership discount at the conference bookstore.

Participants will receive a confirmation of registration via email for web and mailed purchases.

On-Site Registrations:
We do not anticipate having on-site registration available due to the limited seating for the conference. We recommend that you contact Preservation Virginia at 804-648-1889, ext. 300 to check on registration availability prior to arrival. Meals cannot be guaranteed with on-site registrations.
Session Information
  • Register early and online for each session.
  • Limits are placed on the size of sessions and field sessions based on available resources at each site.
  • Arrive early. Field session attendees are required to line up 15 minutes early prior to departure. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
  • Field sessions will be held rain or shine, dress accordingly.
  • Persons with limited mobility should email scooleen@preservationvirginia.org to determine accessibility of specific tours and field sessions.
Registration Payment Information
  • Payment must accompany registration.
  • Mailed or faxed registrations are processed in the order they are received. Please provide an email address on the form so confirmation receipts can be sent via e-mail.
  • Payment can be made by check, Visa and MasterCard

Cancellation and Refunds
Full refunds for cancellations will be given, less a $35 administrative fee, if received in writing or by email by September 1, 2011. No refunds can be given after that date; however, a substitute can be sent in your place, please email slevine@preservationvirginia.org to give the name of the substitute.
CLG Registrants for the Conference

Winchester and Frederick County's Civil War Weekend is a special annual event that brings Winchester and Frederick County’s dramatic Civil War story life, as sites throughout the area join together to provide unique opportunities to experience the area's remarkable wartime story. From military, civilian, and medical living history demonstrations, to youth activities such as Civil War-era games and an overnight camp-out with reenactors, to battlefield, cemetery, and historic building tours, Winchester and Frederick County's Civil War story will come to life in unforgettable ways. This year's programs include:

  • Book Signing with Civil War Winchester author Jerry Holsworth (Winchester-Frederick County Visitors Center and Civil War Orientation Center)
